New York, a city with people from various cultural backrounds - Afro-Americans, Asian-Americans, Italian-Americans, Jewish-Americans…
Susanne Schuricht focuses on the information communicated by the photographic imagery found in todays newspapers from different cultural communities of New York. Displaying a selection of newspapers, each with the text painted out so viewers can reflect on today’s offerings of visual imagery. The way the artist installed her work reminds you of a fan of country flags.

Questionnaire - today's news
During the opening, Susanne Schuricht carried out a questionnaire in the Emergency Room asking the following question: "What are your news today?". I gave a piece of grey crayon to the visitors so they could write directly onto the walls… Another question was if they would vote for a female president of the USA. A discussion started. One visitor remarked: "I would like to have a president who is black, gay and female".

Italy - una voce?

In Italy the right-wing party uses the color green and the left-wing party the color red.
